Privacy

How AuCRA Compass handles the data you give it: which AI providers process it, what we store, and what happens when you delete something.

AI providers and where processing happens

AuCRA Compass sends text to two AI providers. Both run on servers in the United States, so excerpts of your documents and the questions you ask leave the EU when they are processed.

Chat data

We keep the chat history of each workspace so that you can pick up a conversation where you left off and the assistant keeps the context of what was discussed. Chat messages are stored in our database alongside the workspace, are never used to train models, and are sent to the AI providers above only as part of the conversation you are having. They are erased together with the workspace, and you can clear a workspace's chat history at any time from the chat panel.

What we keep to run the platform

We keep these because the product is built around saving your work and coming back to it later.

Deletion

Deleting is a hard purge. There is no soft delete, no recycle bin and no recovery path.

One thing is deliberately kept: where the AI previously cited an excerpt, the stored answer keeps the reference id it cited at the time, because that record states what the AI was shown when it answered. The excerpt text itself is gone, and the reference simply resolves to nothing.
